Following the appointment of our new Acting Chief Executive and the reshaping of our Corporate Management Team, this is an exciting time to join the Council as we drive forward an ambitious development agenda. To support these plans, we seek a Director of Customer & Community Services to lead a busy and prosperous portfolio of work to ensure excellence in our customer, housing, waste, revenues and benefits, property and public health services, driving commercial initiatives to exploit new opportunities and to ensure our financial sustainability. With a digital platform that positions us at the forefront of customer engagement, there is little standing in our way to continue as a flagship authority in East Sussex.

Our new Director will be an experienced leader within a district or unitary authority, ideally with skills / experience relevant to the services in that portfolio. A sharp strategic thinker with strong commercial flair, you will be passionate about our community and play a key role in its future development.
